Rising Stars

Dear Parents:

We are thrilled to have your daughter as a Rising Star participant for the Miss West Alabama Competition! The goal of the Rising Star program is to give the Rising Stars positive and strong female role models as they foster a relationship with the candidates

and learn more about the Miss America program.

Rising Star participants will be featured onstage during the Miss West Alabama Competition. Participants will spend time with the contestants and have a pizza party lunch.

Names will be randomly drawn on stage at the Miss West Alabama Competition to be a Rising Star to Miss West Alabama during her year of service and at Miss Alabama.

Rising Stars must be between the ages of 7 and 11 (at the time of the State Miss or Teen Competition), and live or attend school within the state of Alabama.

Miss West  Alabama Alabama Rising Star participation fees are $75. All profits from Rising Stars participation fees go to support the Miss West Alabama organization, which includes the awarding of scholarships, which is a very important part of the Miss Alabama and Miss America Organizations.

Rising Stars should wear a dressy/semi/formal dress for their on-stage presentation. (If your daughter is the winner, you will be responsible for the Miss Alabama Rising Star Participation Fee).
